after so many years of fantastic editions of Horus Trophy ( before ) and Horus Cup in the last years, VSKItalia wants to revive the great virtual sailing tradition in the sign of renewal that always distinguished its management.
The new event follows the characteristic features of the Louis Vuitton Cup and of the America's Cup, blending them and adapting them to the needs of virtual sailing ; at first we thought the titles choice could be "Virtual LVC and Virtual AC", but ...

1) La cosa non ci è sembrata nè originale nè opportuna ( visto anche che in passato una VAC c'è stata )
2) Per forza di cose non possono essere gli stessi i format degli eventi
3) Ci piacerebbe che , come è stato per la Horus , i nostri utenti ci apprezzassero per i contenuti e non per i titoli.

E quindi , come vedremo, le scelte sono state leggermente diverse.

Il primo evento , nel quale si gareggerà sia in flotta che in MR, si chiamerà VSKItalia's WORLD SERIES; il vincitore di questa fase sarà di certo uno skipper completo, eclettico, tenace : un vero "TOP RUDDER".
Ma non sarà importante solo il podio più alto, perchè i migliori 8 di questa classifica saranno gli sfidanti dei migliori 8 del ranking VwMRT ( i defenders ) nell'evento finale di tutta la manifestazione : i "VSKItalia's WINDMASTER" di match race.
In questa fase l'adrenalina del MR salirà ai massimi livelli fino alla consacrazione del "WINDMASTER 2014".

Possiamo anticiparvi che comunque TUTTI potranno partecipare alle World Series ( purchè iscritti al Ranking VwMRT ) e, se qualcuno dei migliori 8 del ranking VwMRT sarà presente nelle prime 8 posizioni delle World Series, naturalmente gli sfidanti saranno scelti anche nelle posizioni più basse.

Ovviamente tutti i MR di entrambe gli eventi saranno validi per il Ranking VwMRT.

Ma già è stato attivato il link diretto alle pagine dell'evento dove potrete trovare tutte le informazioni necessarie tra cui la pagina di iscrizione.

Vorrei però sottolineare che in questo evento si potrà regatare sulla nuova barca AJ42 Match , prodotta per VSKItalia dai cantieri KD-Team ; questa barca, a nostro avviso, ha delle caratteristiche veramente innovative che la rendono adatta sia al Match race, che al Team race ( ed ovviamente alle regate di flotta ) come mai è accaduto nelle precedenti barche virtuali del mondo VSK.
Credo possa essere interessante e divertente scoprirne segreti e possibilità.

1) The thing seemed to us neither original nor appropriate (also because in the past there has been a VAC)
2) by force of circumstances the format cannot be identical
3) We would like, as it was for Horus, our users will appreciate the event for contents and not for titles.

And so, as we shall see, the choices were different.

The first event , in which you will compete in both fleet race and match race , will be called "VSKItalia's WORLD SERIES" ; the winner of this event will be certainly a complete , eclectic and tenacious skipper, a real "TOP RUDDER".
But it will be important not only the highest podium , because the top 8 of this ranking will become the challengers of the top 8 of VwMRT Ranking ( The defenders ) in the final event of the whole season : the match race "VSKItalia's WINDMASTER".
In this period, the adrenaline of the MR will rise to the highest levels until the consecration of the "WINDMASTER 2014 ."
We can anticipate that everyone can join the World Series and , if any of the top 8 of VwMRT Ranking will be present in the first 8 positions of the World Series , of course challengers will also be selected in the lower positions too.

Of course, all MR of both events will be valid for the Ranking VwMRT .

But the direct link to the event webpages where you can find all the necessary information including the registration page, was already activated.

I would however point out that in this event you will be able to race on the new boat AJ42 Match, produced by the KD-Team shipyard for VSKItalia organisation; this boat, in our opinion, has some really innovative features that make it suitable for both Match race and Team race (and of course for fleet racing) like never happened with previous boats of virtual world of VSK.
I think it can be interesting and fun to discover its secrets and possibilities.
